PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Arkitek Creative expedited a fast-tracked campaign delivery for the Tourism Industry Association of British Columbia (TIABC). In the climate of COVID19 there was a critical demand for industry businesses to demonstrate what steps they were taking to keep residents and visitors safe and healthy, as well as a need to inform visitors with what to expect when they can travel and visit BC. We produced a five-part series of public service announcements (PSAs) which were used to educate residents, visitors, local government, and reinforce the provincial tourism marketing message “Know Before You Go.” The long-form PSAs were distributed online and supplemented with additional short-form social media edits. Tourism and hospitality industry sectors included hotels, restaurants and foodservices, pubs and bars, attractions and lodgings and campgrounds.

TIABC wanted to ensure provincial-wide representation which was challenging given the delivery timeline and COVID19 working conditions. We partnered with BC regions, destination management organizations, and several individual businesses to compile a comprehensive array of industry sector footage from around the province. We also utilized motion graphics and animation to illuminate sector-specific iconic landmarks throughout the province.

Recently, the Tourism Industry Association of BC (TIABC) was in need of a creative agency to develop and produce a series of information videos aimed at informing about the province’s health and safety protocols that are in place and what businesses are doing to ensure their customers and guests are safe. As an industry severely impacted by COVID-19 travel restrictions, it was essential to assist tourism businesses with video assets that can deliver key messaging. Today, the videos are vital tools for the Hotels, Bars & Pubs, Restaurant & Food Services and Attractions sectors in B.C. and continue to be extensively shared on a variety of platforms and distribution channels, while supporting our efforts for relief and recovery of our province’s valuable industry. With an aggressive timeline, strict budget, unique messaging requirements, and no examples of inspiration to draw from, Arkitek dedicated their resources and attention to detail to deliver on schedule and on budget, surpassing our expectations. The videos have set the stage for additional projects TIABC aims to deliver and are examples of exemplary, creative work.
