Many northern communities, including Quesnel, BC, are currently facing a shortage of skilled workers to fill key positions with major employers. Resident attraction and retention are high priority initiatives of the City of Quesnel.
Arkitek Creative produced a 4-part national workforce attraction campaign for the City of Quesnel. The campaign featured four industries to achieve this economic development initiative – mining trades, general trades, healthcare, and education. All have a heavy emphasis on lifestyle advantages in the area such as affordability, limitless outdoor recreation, four seasons and a friendly community. The videos were promoted on social media and broadcast television to help reach and recruit skilled workers from across Canada.
